Curriculum
Welcome to Whizkids Preschool
The Preschool division provides a nurturing learning environment for children ages 3-6 years old - Junior Casa (3-4 years old), Junior Advanced Casa (4-5 years old), Advanced Casa (5-6 years old). Classes are typically 2-3 hours per day, 5 days per week (10-15 hours weekly). The focus of the preschool level is practical life skills, sensorial activities, simple mathematics concepts, the refinement of language (reading, writing, grammar, spelling, comprehension), cultural activities (ie basic geography, history, zoology, botany, science and nature).
Practical Life Skills
Practical Life exercises focus on teaching students to care for themselves, others and the environment. This includes many of the tasks children see as part of their daily lives at home such washing and ironing, doing the dishes, arranging flowers, etc. Through these activities, children are encouraged to develop muscular coordination, enabling movement and the exploration of their surroundings. They learn to work at a task from beginning to end, and develop their will, self discipline and capacity for better concentration to provide a foundation for their transition to their next level of education.
Sensorial Activities
Sensorial activities grant children the opportunity to refine each of their five senses (visual, tactile, olfactory, auditory and kinesthetic), promoting their natural development. Children build cognitive efficacy by touching, seeing, smelling, tasting, listening and exploring the physical properties of their environment through the mediation of specially designed materials. This includes bulding blocks, pairing & sorting of materials, geometric cabinets and shapes.
Language
To Whizkids Montessori, a sound language foundation is vital. Our learning environment focuses on providing rich and precise language, using materials such as sandpaper letters, large movable alphabets (LMA) and sound boxes. We also believe that phonetic awareness is crucial. Thus, our classes provide routine practices of daily conversations, songs, poems, rehearsed talk and role play, so as to inculcate a greater sense and familiarity towards reading, writing and proper grammar.
Mathematics
In Whizkids Montessori, we value mathematic concepts to encourage greater problem-solving, reasoning and analytical skills for the future of students. Thus, we focus on allowing children to discover mathematical processes and reach abstraction, through encouraging consistent practice in a no-stress, hands-on environment. These basic mathematic concepts are taught through using concrete materials such as number rods, sandpaper numbers, number boards, spindle boxes, number tiles, beads and games.. We believe that this sets the foundation for students to eventually approach more complex mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions.

Whizkids Grade School
Our Grade School division provides a nurturing learning environment for students Grade 1-6 through offering a holistic curriculum and an introduction to technology.This is further enhanced by our multiple co-curricular activities and clubs, in which students are granted the opportunity to further pursue their interests and take up leadership roles to gain confidence. To us, this helps to encourage greater development for our students beyond academic achievements alone. Even on an academic level, Whizkids Grade School continues to achieve top rankings in academic-related competitions such as in the Annual Academic Quiz Bee (Mathematics, Science, Spelling, History) and Math Olympiad in district-level, national and international competitions.
In particular, the subjects we offer are Filipino, English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Values, MAPEH (Music, Arts, Physical Education & Health), Computer, Mother Tongue (Grade 1-3) and Home Economics & Livelihood Education (Grade 4-6).

Whizkids Junior High School
Our High School division teaches students Grade 7-10, in their preparations for senior high and college. We believe High School is one of the most fundamental times of a student's life. As such, Whizkids aims for optimum development for students through academic opportunities and exemplary co-curricular activities to brighten students' resumes. Clubs such as our Student Council promotes greater student leadership, individuality, a sense of pride, responsibility, accountability, social awareness, and many other valuable characteristics.
